STEEL COFFERDAM

  • Steel Cofferdam

    Steel cofferdam is a temporary enclosure built within, or in pairs across, a body of water and constructed to allow the enclosed area to be pumped out, creating a dry work environment for the major work to proceed. Enclosed coffers are commonly used for construction and repair of oil platforms, bridge piers and other support structures built within or over water. Ordinarily, there are steel sheet pile cofferdams, Lock-type steel sheet pile cofferdams, double wall steel boxed cofferdams, single wall steel boxed cofferdams and steel suspending cofferdams.

    Lock-type steel sheet pile cofferdams are used for retaining water and earthas the enclosure protection, when foundation pitsareexcavating for medium or large cushion caps whose basement depth is from 8 to 18 metres.

  • Double Wall Steel Boxed Cofferdams

    Double wall steel boxed cofferdamsare the important facility of bridges’ deepwater foundation, ordinarily above the river. In order to meet the demands of manufacture and stress structure, the wall thickness will be 1.2m~2.0m.

  • Single Wall Steel Boxed Cofferdams

    Single wall steel boxed cofferdams apply to maintenance construction whose depth is about 4~10metres.The diameter of cofferdamsare on the small size, and the overburden is relatively thin.

  • Steel Suspending Cofferdam

    Steel suspending cofferdam is applied mainly for the basic construction of elevated pile caps under deep water. And the cofferdam need to add bottom.
